Pamana

My dinner on the first night I was in Boracay was in Pamana (Beach Front, Station 2). I loved their baked tahong and beef steak! The two other we ordered were confusing, plus their menu had so many choices, its confusing! And their names are like "My loloa's best..." or "Iloilo's famous..." not a very universal menu considering that Boracay is full of tourists.
Beef Steak (not actual name)
3 way Adobo
Inun-unan (not actual name)
Baked Tahong

The Palms of Boracay

With my brother in Kikko's Boracay Beach Resort, where he is staying.
My first meal in Boracay: Club house of the Palms of Boracay, Station 1. It was a laid back first meal, perfect for my sleepy self after an 8am flight (woke up 5am).
Pork Chops and Strawberry Lover shake. Both were so good, cooked just right and friendly staff-- plus lunch by the pool, what more right? :)

Price Range: P250-450

That's it for now, the conference is about to start in a few, we're gonna grab a bite and go to Boracay Holiday Hotel:) Next post is our dinner, day 1 in Pamana, Boracay Station 2.

Touchdown, Boracay!

Hello there from Boracay! I arrived here this morning having traveled alone. It was a first time, and it was pretty scary (mostly because of the earthquake I felt before I boarded). Luckily, I had the same flight with someone I know, that taught me a few tricks.  If you ever travel to Boracay, here area a few tips: From the airport, you are to ride a tricycle (usually P80) but if you're travelling light, the port is walkable (800m?). Then your ride a pump boat from Caticlan to Cagban Port (P200) and Ride a tricyle or "single (habal-habal)" to your hotel or resort.

I am staying in my brother's staff house, Isla Azul, near D'Mall (yey!). We ate lunch at The Palms of Boracay and am now resting in Kikko's Boracay Resort. This is the up side of having a brother who lives in Boracay and who works in hotel construction (free accommodation, yey me!).

#PrayForTheVisayas

Everyone has their story, here is mine. It was 8:16 when I felt the shake, I know the time cause I was running late for work, I was suppose to report 8am to do some CAD work for a friend of my moms. Anyways, I grabbed my mom and ran out, didn't even get to wear slippers, we kept calm and waited for it to stop, but it just went on and on in what felt like forever. The car was shaking hard and glasses were crashing--until it finally stopped. I went online (thank God for pocket wifi) and saw #earthquake posts instantly, a lot of buildings--famous ones especially--left damaged by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake. But despite these, I am so thankful that I am a lazy bum, that I did not get up and went out before 8am, that it was a holiday and that it was before mall and office hours. God is good:) I hope and pray that all those people posting #PrayforthePhilippines #PrayfortheVisayas #PrayforBohol #PrayforCebu etc really are praying, and not just showing off posts for people to like. It was very traumatic for Cebu, and the Visayas because we are not used to things like this. They said that for Canada, Japan and other countries, these things feel pretty normal, still that did not calm the people. Architecture students, faculties, and other professionals are in joining hands for the effort of planning steps on what to do with the heritage sites that has been damaged. Aftershocks can't be stronger than the earthquake it self, but the earthquake might caused another to occur, I am no scientist and this isn't a pessimistic thought either, but let's just be prepared for anything that might happen. God Bless and Be Safe!!

All Black

This is one of the JACKs washday Wednesday outfits, the theme was "Chillin' like a Villian" which was simply "Bad-Ass look" (If you haven't checked out our page, click here). If you've known me since high school, then you would know that I was the type to listen to rock, screamo, emo, dark songs; and wear a lot of oversized black shirts with red or black jeans and sneakers always. I was pretty "buguy"; Sooo different from the college "girly-girl" that I am now. taka lang haha...

So anyway, I was kind of excited for this #ootw, buuuut as it turns out that no matter how I try to be bad ass, I still look put together, I'm like whyyyy:( I guess I just don't have the clothes anymore, haha!
Rhipstop Muscle shirt, Old Cardigan and jeans, Parisian Flats, DIY Tape  Necklace

What do you think?:) haha
